Cotton Candy

To describe today’s produce as a “dish” or “recipe” is a bit of a stretch even for my Recipes365 standards. I made cotton candy today because three crazy chicks (you know who you are!) bought me a candy floss machine.

First you need to heat the machine up for 5 minutes. It starts to whizz and whirr and – more worryingly – glow.

Turn off the machine and add 16-18 g sugar (they provide a measuring spoon).

Turn the machine back on and wait 10-20 seconds before you can start harvesting your candy floss.

It is a flashback into childhood and great fun to make as well as eat.

Cleaning the machine won’t be as much fun I gather…

At least as a side product you get lovely glitzy blue strips of hard sugar that may be of use later.
