Seedy Banana

I bought too many bananas recently and they were starting to look slightly unsightly.

I rummaged for a banana recipe in my archive and found an internet printout for banana bread from an unidentifiable source.
First, you need to mix 180g sugar with 250g butter and whisk it until it has a creamy consistency.

Then add 280g flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder and 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda. I also mixed in 2 tablespoons of poppy seeds.

Finally, you add 3-4 mashed bananas, 2 tablespoons of condensed milk and 1dl orange juice.

This left me with more cake mix than I needed for my cake loaf form so I filled two small disposable cake forms as well.

The small ones were ready after 15 minutes in the oven (at 180 degrees Celsius).

The large one took about 10 minutes longer. The scent the cake gives off is divine! But baking this cake confirmed my hate for silicon moulds. It just doesn’t really hold its shape (just like me at the moment…) and gave the cake a bulge on each side (again, just like me …). I will ditch the silicon for good now.
